I grew up on a small island in Denmark, where I first became interested in a simple but persistent question: what makes a meaningful life?

That question has stayed with me throughout my career, even as my work has moved across very different worlds - literature, publishing, academia in the United States, and later diplomacy in the United Kingdom. For the past fifteen years, I have lived outside Denmark, working at the intersection of communication, culture, and international collaboration.

Along the way, I became particularly interested in something more specific: how people actually work together, and what enables trust to form inside organisations. I spent ten years as Head of Press and Communications at the Danish Embassy in London, where I worked closely with leaders, institutions, and teams navigating complexity, change, and cross-cultural expectations.

I have also written about questions of purpose, belonging, and the human need for connection – themes that continue to shape how I see organisations today.

Over time, I began to notice a consistent pattern: when organisations struggle, it is rarely because of strategy alone. More often, it is because trust, communication, and shared understanding have broken down. Small misalignments in how people relate to each other quietly accumulate into larger performance challenges.

This insight now sits at the heart of my work.
